Okay, here's the Beta test for my '06 holiday cocktail. Check it out, and let me know what you think:
2 Shots of Absolut, Skyy or some vodka with little character, lots of filtration, etc
1/2 shot of Goldschlager
Shake briskly to brutally with ice, strain into a red accented or other festively holiday martini glass.
If you adjust the ratios, remember to keep it light on the 'schlager - you never want to make 'tinis too sweet. they should always taste like an adult cocktail. (read: green apple martinis are for kids)
You know how hard it is to find Cinnamon Schnapps these days?!? BevMo closes too damn early!
Anyway, this doesn't quite work with After Shock, or the more spicy 'red hot' flavor of cinnamon. I really want to achieve that smouldering baked cinnamon flavor.
This replaces the previous holiday 'tini: the candy cane 'tini.
