Can anyone suggest recipes where you take a jug of this, take a bottle of that, maybe another jug of this, and mix it all up in one, big container, add some ice and drink it?
No measuring. Just dump and drink.
Anyone??

Sat, April 29, 2006 - 1:43 PMZombie Punch
Make a large batch of Zombie Punch as a gauranteed crowd pleaser instead of mixing individual Zombies or other cocktails. This is a very strong rum punch and is best served over ice so keep an ice bucket filled near the punch bowl. The recipe below makes a massive 42 servings.
INGREDIENTS:
* 2 cups curaçao or triple sec
* 2 750-ml bottles gold or light rum
* 2 cups lime juice
* 2 cups orange juice
* 2 cups high-proof rum
* 2 oz Pernod
* 1/2 cup grenadine
* 1 750-ml bottle dark rum
* 1 cup lemon juice
* 1 cup papaya or pineapple juice
* 1 cup passion fruit juice
* pineapple slices for garnish
* large cake of ice
PREPARATION:
1. Mix all ingredients in a chilled punch bowl.
2. Stir well.
3. Add a large cake of ice.
4. Let stand for several hours in a cool place or in the refrigerator.
5. Garnish with a few thin pineapple slices.
Brandy Punch
2 cups brandy
1 cup rum
4 cups pineapple juice
1 cup lemon juice
1 cup simple syrup
1 qt. ginger ale
Pour ingredients into the punch bowl and mix. Add the ginger ale in last to keep the fizz fresh. Also add the ice just before the guests arrive so that the punch doesn't get watered down.
Cosmopolitan Punch Recipe
This is an enormously popular cocktail, so it is almost guaranteed to be a crowd pleaser at your party.
3 cups vodka, I prefer an orange/cirtus vodka such as Absolut Mandarin
1 1/2 cups Cointreau
1 1/2 cups cranberry juice
3/4 cup fresh lime juice
1/2 cup water
Mix and chill your punch in the refridgerator several hours before you will need it. When you're ready, just ladle in to your glassware and garnish with a lime.
Lemondrop Punch Recipe
4 cups vodka, Try it with lemon flavored vodka
2/3 cup water
2/3 cup fresh lemon juice
2/3 cup superfine sugar
Mix and chill your punch in the refridgerator several hours before you will need it. When you're ready, just ladle in to your glassware and garnish with a lemon.
Party Punch
2 1/2 cups vodka
4 cups pineapple juice
4 cups cranberry juice
2 liters of ginger ale
Mix ingredients in a bowl and keep chilled in the fridge. Add ice just before serving.
I have yet to try any of these but I will post my taste test when I do. I'll be making one of the above tonight.
Cheers! -

Re: Great cocktails in large quantites?
Sat, April 29, 2006 - 5:03 PMOk sorry for so many posts but how could I have forgotten Jungle Juice!
Hell Ya!
Jungle Juice recipe
This is probably the nearest towards the Jungle Juice recipe that's become a hit in America, not a cocktail by the same name, but a full-blown party occasion punch. If you hear people talking about Jungle Juice, this is it. Jungle Juice takes a lot of preparation but, obviously, is well worth the effort. It has become a party favorite throughout Missouri and New York, tweaked to perfection throughout the years. Jungle Juice is an incredibly potent drink, and this recipe will make up to 20 gallons. Use dry ice to keep it cold and stirred up.
Ingredients
Scale ingredients to servings
1 L Everclear® alcohol
5.25 L (3 1.75L bottles) vodka
1 bottle peach schnapps
1 pint Bacardi® 151 rum
1 bottle 99 Apples® apple schnapps
10 L Sprite® soda
1 L Sunny Delight® orange juice
1 L triple sec
1.75 L bottle gin
1 bottle DeKuyper® Sour Apple Pucker schnapps
4 bottles Boone's Farm® Strawberry Hill wine
8 L Hawaiian Punch®
2 containers orange juice concentrate
fruit (as much as desired)
Use a large container ie. ice chest or similar. Allow the fruit to soak in all the alcohol for about 4 - 12 hours. Add all the juice and let sit overnight. Serve the next day.
I think this recipe would make me vomit.
Jim, do you have any suggestions??

Re: Great cocktails in large quantites?
Sun, June 25, 2006 - 8:50 PMHere's an easy one from way back:
One can Five Alive "fruit" juice concentrate
Instead of adding 3 cans of water, use one can of vodka, one ice, and one water.
Toss it in a blender and make fruity slushies, and these suckers are "sleepers", which is to say, it does not taste like alcohol. After a tumblerful or two you may have trouble standing. Excellent for summer parties where quantity is more important than quality.
